Valley Road Vineyards-Lunch At The Piedmont Bar & Kitchen

Please join us for a fall cruise on Saturday, October 15, to Valley Road Vineyards in Afton, VA., followed by lunch in our private room at The Piedmont Bar & Kitchen (formerly Shadwell's), Charlottesville.

We will meet at Hardee's, (Correction to Address) 1945 Sandy Hook Road, Goochland, VA 23063 (this is in the Food Lion Shopping Center area) at 8:45 AM, on Saturday, October 15. We will meet in the shopping center parking lot BEHIND Hardee's. We will have a drivers meeting at 9:00, and depart promptly at 9:15 AM.

We will take scenic VA-6 west to VA -151 to arrive at Valley Road Vineyards, 9264 Critzer Shop Road, Afton, VA 2568, about 74 miles in about an hour and 30-45 minutes.. The Winery opens at 10:30 AM, and we plan to be there by 11 AM. We will have reserved parking so that we may stage a Corvette Car Show and photo opportunity while there. We will have a Private Wine Tasting experience led by the Valley Road Vineyard Sommelier, which will be held in "The Library" exclusively for our group. The wine tasting will include 3 white, 1 rose, and 2 red wines; about 2 glasses of wine in all. The price per person for the wine tasting is $30 including a $5 gratuity. If you wish, you may forego the wine tasting and simply purchase a glass or bottle of wine. Price range for whites is from $25/bottle, and reds are priced from $25-$30/bottle

While at the Vineyard we will begin selling 50/50 tickets, with each half of the proceeds going to two lucky winners. The drawing will be during lunch (and if you have not bought 50/50 tickets by lunch time, you may do so then, so as to not be left out!).

After savoring the fruit of the grape, our happy group will depart at about 12:30 PM to cruise to The Piedmont Bar & Kitchen, 1791 Richmond Road, Charlottesville, VA 22911. arriving by about 1 PM. This is an easy 24 mile trip, mostly on I 64 east, toward Richmond.

The Piedmont Bar & Kitchen will reserve parking for our shiny Corvettes, as we stage another photo opportunity and Corvette Car Show for Piedmont's customers! Our group will dine in a private dining room, ordering off of a menu especially prepared for our group. The lunch will conclude our cruise, and you may make your own way home.

Due to space limitations of "The Library" at Valley Road Vineyards, this event will be limited to the first 40 people that sign up on line through the CCR web site.
