Encouraging all CCR members to sign up by October 16th to join us for a beautiful fall drive on Saturday October 18th to Tim's Crabhouse on Lake Anna (Mineral, VA). We need to provide an accurate "day of" headcount to Tim's so, after October 16th if you decide to add or drop, please email me at sdickinson4@comcast.net and we'll make the appropriate adjustments to the attendee list.

Where and When - Meet in the Food Lion parking lot, 11272 Patterson

                               Avenue, Richmond, VA, just behind the McDonald's      9:30 AM

Driver Meeting - We'll discuss route, driving conditions, perform a quick

                           roll call and determine radio needs                                   9:45 AM

Cruise Departs to Tim's - Saddle up and hit the road                                   10:00 AM

Arrive Lake Anna - Park and Dine at Tim's Crabhouse                                      11:00 AM

Why are we leaving so early? Glad you asked! Tim's is a very popular seafood restaurant, especially on weekends. They would like to cordon off a section of

their parking lot just for our beautiful CCR Corvettes and prepare a separate seating section for us within the restaurant...but we need to arrive early before their "lunch crunch" crowd to enable that.

Everyone who attended last year had a wonderful time at Tim's. It is a very easy-going cruise with lots of curves, canopies and scenery. We'll head west on Patterson Avenue for about 12 miles to the parking lot of the Goochland County Administration Building (near the intersection of Patterson Avenue and Route522). There, we'll be met by the Goochland County Sheriff Deputies who will escort us out of the parking lot and will also block traffic on the nearby roundabout so we can stay together (at least initially) without OTC's on Route 522. Total travel time is expected to be approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes (assuming we encounter no farm tractors on route!) to cover the 53-mile distance. be aware that much of Route 522 is two-lane with no passing. Accordingly, drivers should relax, breathe deeply and enjoy the sights.

Tim's Crabhouse in located north on Mineral at 200G Broadwalk Way, Mineral VA 23117, just off of Route 522. When we get to Mineral, we will turn right at the main traffic light, cross the railroad tracks, then left continuing North on Route 522 to Broadwalk Way on the right.

As always, bring your name tags and radios (if you have one).

Rick Hendricks Car Show and Shine

Show is for Corvette Club of Richmond Members and Invited Guest

This is our 2nd Car Show at Hendricks; our 1st one held on September 21st brought many CCR members out.  The Hendrick folks have been excited about their participation with CCR and so let's show our appreciation and support for them with an overwhelming turnout for this event. 

We will meet at the location at 11 am so we are all parked together

Food truck will be onsite for your food purchase or bring along your own lunch.

Sat, December 6, 2024, 11:30 AM – Sun, December 7, 2025, at Virginia Beach. Overnight reservations shall be made by each member with the Marriott SpringHill Suites.  Reservations for Saturday, 5:00 pm dinner at Rudee’s Restaurant on Inlet have been made by CCR.

Hotel Details: The Room Rates for 2025 are as follows: King or Queen (base on number of rooms block for CCR), $129.00,plus all applicable taxes. Reservations after November 5th will be the option of the hotel to determine if they can accept further CCR reservations based on space and rates available. The above rates may be used for early or extended stays that weekend.

CCR Members need to make and guarantee their own hotel reservations at SpringHill Suites Front Desk by calling 1.757.417,3982, book your reservation or Book your group rate for the Corvette Club of Richmond tell them you are with the Corvette Club of Richmond to get the club rate. There will be no charges or holds against credit cards until 5 days before the event date based on hotel cancellation policy.

So, if you are planning to attend, please early register on the CCR Website and guarantee your room with the hotel for this event. OD will provide a periodic CCR List to the hotel for comparison and they will let me know who has guaranteed their rooms so there is no confusion

Rudee’s Details:  CCR has already made and confirmed the clubs’ reservations for Rudee’s for 5:00 pm December 6th, 2025. Rudee’s dinner reservations for the main dining room with great views and are made based on the number of members guaranteeing their rooms. If you just want to come to Rudee's for dinner only, please let the ODs know by phone, text or email your intentions

Route Details: The caravan route is as follows; CCR will meet at the famous CCR starting point, the Exxon - Dairy Queen* just off I-295, Route 5, New Market exit* at 11:00 am. Then cruise the back roads, (Rt 10, 258, 58 and the last leg, I-264) to Virginia Beach, and the hotel. There will be a drivers meeting 15 minutes before leaving.

Party Room

The club will have a large suite to socialize in once back to the hotel from Rudee's.  Then you have the rest of the month for your Christmas shopping with your winnings.
