A first time event. We will caravan to Christiansburg, VA to tour the Duncan Import and Classic Car collection. The collection has over 1200 Import and American muscle and Classic Cars. The imports include cars, vans, trucks, limos and ornate Japanese hearses rarely seen in the USA. Did I mention Japanese fire trucks?  For your preview, the following link will take you to the Duncan Import and Classic Cars website: https://www.duncanimports.com

We will meet at the WAWA on Route 360 (12001 Southshore Point Dr., Midlothian) at 7:30 AM and depart at 8:00 AM. We will arrive in Christiansburg around noon and eat lunch at the Due South Pit Cooked BBQ restaurant. At 1:00 PM will drive to The Duncan Collection to begin the tour. They are open until 5:00 PM. This is a self-guided tour but most of the cars have vehicle information on their windshields. Did I also mention nearly everything is for sale?  Mr. Duncan indicated that he would try to be present on part of the tour as he can provide a lot his personal information on many of the vehicles.

After you have seen all you want to see head over to the Quality Inn (50 Hampton Boulevard) and check in (It’s less than a mile away).  You will need to make your reservations by calling (520) 505-2289. Let them know you with the Corvette Club of Richmond to get the $79.00 + tax rate.

At 6:30 we will leave for dinner at the Farmhouse, a local favorite, for a 7:00 PM dinner.

See the June and July Newsletters for more details. Wear your CCR shirts and nametags and bring your club radios.  We'll have a good time! Questions?  Call us at John at (804) 955-5894 or Mike at (804) 869-6836

There is no cost for this event, however Mr. Duncan supports the Brittany McCann Project, Inc. Brittany has cerebral palsy. The remarkable part is that the money is not for her or her family. She runs a ministry that reaches out and takes care of children from underprivileged families and children with illnesses from her wheelchair and her connection on face book and social media. You can check out her work at http://brittanyproject.com.
