Perhaps you saw the item below in the May CCRuisin' Newsletter from fellow CCR Member Denny Manning about his niece, Sophie. It is repeated below.
Let's show Sophie some CCR LOVE and take a ride to Warsaw, Virginia on Sunday, May 16 in support of Sophie's fight against Leukemia. The show is free, but donations in support of Sophie will be appreciated by her family. There is a link below with more information and a video about this Ride-in/Cruise-in. Gates open at 9 AM and door prizes and a free lunch are at noon.

I have volunteered to OD this cruise. We will meet at 8 AM at the McDonald's in Mechanicsville, 7059 Mechanicsville Tpke, Mechanicsville, VA . This is one mile north of I-295 on Mechanicsville Tpke. and is on the right at Lee Davis Hwy. We will park in the shopping center parking lot directly behind McDonalds. This will permit us to easily gather together and will facilitate our departure as a group en route to Warsaw. This McDonalds opens at 7 AM on Sunday and the dining room is open. We will depart promptly at 8:15 AM following a drivers meeting. It is a straight shot up US 360 to Warsaw, about a one hour drive. There will be no rest stop. Our destination is the Rappahannock Church of Christ, 4324 Richmond Rd., Warsaw, VA (adjacent to Tractor Supply). Door prized and three trophies each for motorcycles and cars will be awarded at 11:45.
There is a fee lunch, which I believe is BBQ, following the awards and door prizes available at the show. For those who may be interested, I have reserved a private room for 12:45 PM at Roma Ristorante at 1250 Tappahanock Blvd., Tappahanock, VA. It is about a 10 minute ride from the show venue. They have an extensive menu-see link below to look at menu and prices. If you wish to attend this luncheon, please contact me and let me know the number in your party (contact info below). I must have your lunch reservation by Friday, May 14. Marcie and I had lunch there Saturday, May 8, and enjoyed the meal and the service-a family owned establishment.
