Are you ready for another great caravan in 2021. We hope you will mark your calendars for Saturday, July 17, 2021, for our 2021 Brunch at Captain Billy's Crab House in Popes Creek, MD.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Caravan to Captain Billy’s, July 17, 2021: To All CCR Cruisers, we will be adding a “short pit stop” to the caravan about halfway (45min) to the Captain Billy’s Restaurant along Rt. 301.
The location for the “Pit Stop” will at the intersection of Route 301 & Kings Highway. a new Sheets Gas Station that has plenty of parking and affords CCR easy access in and out.
We have added this “Pit Stop” due to the construction of a new bridge across the Potomac River which causes traffic delays at both ends of the old two-lane bridge. Once across the old bridge we are not far from the restaurant.
We continue in Maryland on Route 301, until a traffic light in Maryland where Route 301 intersects with Edge Hill Road. We will go through the light and then make a U-turn at the next cross over and come back to Edge Hill Road and make a right turn and continue to Popes Creek Road, which is a sharp left-hand turn. We are then not far from our destination. Restaurant on the left parking on the right.

This is a really easy a great caravan—no white knuckle driving here—and whether you’re looking out your side windows at the gorgeous summer scenery or looking at the row of Corvettes in front of and behind you, your view will be fabulous! Take lots of pictures to post on website. If you are a new member to the club or haven't been on this cruise you do not want to miss this event as the restaurant is right on the Potomac River. In the past the Dolan's had this event the 1st Saturday after income tax day as a tradition, but we changed the date this year only in order to have the event.
Like in past year, we will drive straight through to Captain Billy's. Parking will be across the road for the restaurant. Going homeward, Hornes Restaurant in Port Royal Va is a great stop for some great ice cream deserts. (Our cruise will go right by Hornes on our way to Captain Billy's.)
Our drive will take about 1 hour and 30 minutes+/-. We won’t have an official caravan for the return home, but everyone is welcome to stop and have some ice cream at Hornes on our way back to Richmond
DETAILS: We’ll meet at 1:00 pm behind the Burger King at Atlee Station Road & Chamberlayne Road (Route 301), (at the office building directly behind and use their parking lot so not to interfere with the Burger King's parking). We’ll take roll, sell some 50/50 tickets. "Winner pays the tab". We will have a brief drivers’ meeting and depart at 1:30pm. Since this is a rain or shine event, if the weather is bad or you’re bringing guests, feel free to drive your OTC (Other Than Corvette). OTC's are fine...they just have to be at the back of our caravan!!
Don’t forget your nametags as we have a lot of new members joining us. If you have a Club Radio, bring it so messages can be relayed back and forth as we go. Coming back you will have to pay a toll in Maryland. Please register early so we have a good count of people for the restaurant. as the the restaurant has a lot of tour buses and people that come on weekends
