This is a great venue for a morning cruise on the backroads to the Trump Winery. Forget your partisan and political views, leave them at home; come for a morning start and enjoy spending your afternoon with your CCR friends. Light lunch and refreshment of your choice with a spectacular view of the surroundings mountains, and the vineyards.
Starting on Route 15 heading north is a great drive in your Corvette. The last legs of the drive will test your mountain driving skills. You may also want to bring your driving shoes and gloves to be prepared for the mountains. Some of the views belong on post cards. Afterward a leisurely drive back home. Thanks to Kirby, Trump’s manager has made an exception for CCR to have as many members come as possible, with some special seating arrangements in the main rotunda. The club will have extra special parking in the Trump Winery Courtyard! This is a unique courtesy extended to the Corvette Club of Richmond. Sign up now if you would like to go!!!
CCR members can go to the wine service bar and get whatever wine or food they want and pay their own way. Normally for a group reservation they require one form of payment for the group, but that will not apply to CCR members and guest.
Plan to meet at McDonald's, 11280 Patterson Ave., Richmond at 9:00 AM; drivers meeting 9:20 AM; depart at 9:30 AM. The route to be taken below takes about 1 hr, 20 minutes, so arrival at Trump approximately 11:00 AM (they open 11:00 AM). These times have been updated.
