Cruise to Blue Mountain Brewery

This CCR Cruiser Event is for the “adventurous CCR members”. Cruise early morning (restroom & coffee) (9:15 am meet) July 11, 2026. Depart at 9:30 am. Leave from the WAWA, Route 288 and Broad Street, 12564 West Broad Street, Henrico, VA, 23233, to the Blue Mountain Brewery, 9519 Critzer Shop Road, Afton VA, arrive no later 11:00 am.

Cruise I64 to exit 107, Crozet at then a short distance on Rt 250. About 1hr 30 min travel depending on the traffic.  The left turn into the Brewery comes up very quick and there is a lot traffic on road going to Charlottesville. Be careful.

CCR Cruisers have really enjoyed this event in the past. Food is great, beer even better, service was great, and the view was spectacular. It's worth the early morning start time for this event. Last year we set inside as in the past. CCR will try to get inside seating again for the club. 

There are no reservations accepted, but an exception has been made by the manager regarding CCR. So please register online with the club website in order for an accurate count of members attending so CCR can provide the count to the Manager several days before July 11, 2026.

CRR has been in contact with manager to arrange the date and the date is set. This way the staff that will be responsible for seating us will know in advance. The restaurant opens at 11:00 am and you stay as long as you like.

CORVETTES AT CARLISLE 

AUGUST 27,2024 (Thursday) – AUGUST 29, 2025(Saturday)

Mike and Peggy Todd will again this year lead a caravan on Thursday August 27^th to Carlisle PA. for the annual CORVETTES AT CARLISLE.  We will meet at the Exxon Station on Rte. 522 just north of the I-64/Rte. 522 interchange (Gum Spring, Exit 159) at 9:30 AM, departing at 10:00 AM. As we have in the past, we will stop for lunch in Culpeper at “It’s about Thyme” restaurant. After lunch we will continue on Rt 522 to Winchester to I-81 north to Carlisle Fair Grounds.

CORVETTES AT CARLISLE

Corvettes at Carlisle is the largest and most fun-filled Corvette car show in the world.  The annual Corvettes at Carlisle event features nearly 3,000 Corvettes representing all generations of America’s classic sports car. Guests flock to Carlisle for this event. Corvette enthusiasm is contagious with participation in autocross, exhaust contests, seminars and more.  The excitement continues with an incredible parts shopping experience, including an automotive flea market with a wide variety of vendors, an all-Corvette car corral and Manufacturers Midway.

Cruise To Charley’s Waterfront Restaurant 

Farmville, Virginia

This cruise is the 5^nd time this event has been on the event schedule. Last year we had a great turn out with many of CCR members in attendance. So, arrangements have been made with Charley’s, for a return event and placed on their schedule for the Cruiser’s to arrive at 1:00 PM, September 5.

The club will have one area this year with plenty of room and seating with a great view. The restaurant will have certain staff to service the hungry group for drinks and food. CCR will have a limited menu as last year and some exceptions for specific request if needed. The limited menu will be put on the Events website once it becomes available prior to the Event.

Details:

The CCR Cruiser's to meet at the WAWA located at 150 Pikeview Drive, Midlothian VA just west of Westchester Commons shopping center at 11:30 am.  Drivers meeting at 11:45 am, Departure at 12:00 pm, with arrival in Farmville by 1:00 pm.

The cruise to Farmville will be Rt 60 to Rt 45 to Farmville. We will park in the overflow parking lot behind Green Front Furniture.  There are stairs located between the two main buildings that lead up to Mill Street. There is no parking on Mill Street except for people loading their cars with purchases from Green Front. The restaurant is at the left end of Mill Street. The restaurant will be expecting our arrival.

Compass Church Event

September 21,2025

Time 7:30AM-12 PM

This is not a CCR sponsored event but we have participated in this event for the past 5 years. One because it is a great event and two it raises money for kids in need. The event is free, but donations are welcomed. 100% of the donations goes to the kids.

We will meet at the Lowes on Mechanicsville Turnpike (6425 Mechanicsville Tpke) at 7:15 on Sunday September 21st and cruise a short distance down Rte. 360 to the Church. They will try to park together. It is important that you register for this event so the Chruch will know how many parking spaces to save for us. The event starts early and is over around noon with lunch provided. 

it's a great event for a great cause.

CRR Cruise Event

Tim’s Crabhouse & Restaurant  

Lake Anna - Mineral, Virginia

Encouraging all CCR members to sign up by October 17th to join us for a beautiful fall drive on Saturday October 17th to Tim's Crabhouse on Lake Anna (Mineral, VA). We need to provide an accurate "day of" headcount to Tim's so, after October 17th if you decide to add or drop, please email me at sdickinson4@comcast.net and we'll make the appropriate adjustments to the attendee list.

Where and When - Meet in the Food Lion parking lot, 11272 Patterson

                               Avenue, Richmond, VA, just behind the McDonald's      9:30 AM

Driver Meeting - We'll discuss route, driving conditions, perform a quick

                           roll call and determine radio needs                                   9:45 AM

Cruise Departs to Tim's - Saddle up and hit the road                                10:00 AM

Arrive Lake Anna - Park and Dine at Tim's Crabhouse                                11:00 AM

Why are we leaving so early? Glad you asked! Tim's is a very popular seafood restaurant, especially on weekends. They would like to cordon off a section of

their parking lot just for our beautiful CCR Corvettes and prepare a separate seating section for us within the restaurant...but we need to arrive early before their "lunch crunch" crowd to enable that.

Everyone who attended last year had a wonderful time at Tim's. It is a very easy-going cruise with lots of curves, canopies and scenery. We'll head west on Patterson Avenue for about 12 miles to the parking lot of the Goochland County Administration Building (near the intersection of Patterson Avenue and Route522). There, we'll be met by the Goochland County Sheriff Deputies who will escort us out of the parking lot and will also block traffic on the nearby roundabout so we can stay together (at least initially) without OTC's on Route 522. Total travel time is expected to be approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes (assuming we encounter no farm tractors on route!) to cover the 53-mile distance. be aware that much of Route 522 is two-lane with no passing. Accordingly, drivers should relax, breathe deeply and enjoy the sights.

Tim's Crabhouse in located north on Mineral at 200G Broadwalk Way, Mineral VA 23117, just off of Route 522. When we get to Mineral, we will turn right at the main traffic light, cross the railroad tracks, then left continuing North on Route 522 to Broadwalk Way on the right.

As always, bring your name tags and radios (if you have one).
